Description
This is the first of the balsamic vinaigrette experience. This vinaigrette was inspired by my love for figs. This is a fruit I got more acquainted with for a vegan baby shower where I used the fruit as an additional topping for a watermelon and arugula salad.
The deep richness of figs pairs well with so many fresh ingredients but it takes over your palate if you eat too much of it in my opinion. So in efforts to to not overwhelm your palate I combined it with strawberries, a very sweet, sometimes tart fruit. Therefore the first thing that hits your palate is the sweetness of the strawberries then a blend of the richness of the balsamic vinegar and sweet, earthiness of figs. Lastly a touch of honey and vanilla extract creates a perfect marriage of flavors.
This Berry Berry Fig Balsamic Vinaigrette brings sweet luxurious experience to every component of your salad with flavors of sweet, semi tart strawberries, fresh citrus notes of lemons, a light richness from the balsamic vinegar, and a warm vanilla finish to prepare your palate for another bite.
Enjoy this vinaigrette with: refreshing greens like romaine lettuce, baby spinach, thinly shredded cabbage.
