Who is Chef Rishone?

Here’s My Story

I first learned how to cook from my grandmother at the Half Moon Hotel in Montego Bay, Jamaica at the age of 8. I spent most weekdays with her in those cottage kitchens creating magic. She would make these incredible, flavorful dishes that wowed her guests and provided the service that made their stay in Jamaica unforgettable.

Those experiences live inside me and have provided the  inspiration to share my love for food, and service with Buffalo.
I have been cooking and serving delicious food now for 32 years and over 8 years as Plated Soul. 

To describe my food, I would say it is grounded by the flavors from my Jamaican heritage, elevated from my experience in the kitchen with various chefs, and plated with my soul.

This is my love language and also how I make the world a more delicious place to experience.
